This coming weekend there are a number of Events in St. Arvans to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of hostilities in WWI.
On Friday 9th November, David Priddis will give an Illustrated Talk “St. Arvans Remembers WW1” the results of his four year research into those who served – See poster, below
On Sunday the 10.00am Service at St. Arvans will be followed by an Act of Rembrance at 11 am in St. Arvans Church.
Commencing at 2.30pm there will be exhibitions and Events in the St. Arvans Memorial Hall which was built as the Village Memorial to WWI – see poster

St Arvans Church Open Weekend
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May 10.00 -16.00
A celebration of the community of St Arvans with a programme of free events and activities.
Both days will involve history, children’s craft and activity sheets, plant sale and refreshments. Sunday service at 10.00 followed by a pet blessing at 11.00 and walks to mark Rogation Sunday.
Village groups are invited to participate by decorating a windowsill or providing a display board about their group. We hope that you want to be part of this community event.
A full programme will be available in the May issue of Fiveways magazine.
